Regardless, you may have a damaged fuse block that needs attention. If you can pull it out and reinsert it and it runs, then the BCM is not likely the issue, and it likely wasn't the issue the first time, either, but that is unknown at this point in time. What could pulling the fuse be doing to let the fuel pump start working again? Took to dealer, dealer replaced rear junction due to burnt wiringįuel pump stops working, again pulling fuse and fuel pump works again Pull fuel pump fuse in rear junction box, fuel pump comes on I'm thinking trying a new fuel pump relay, but man, I can't imagine the dealer would overlook something so simple when they have had it twice now for this issue. After the third time I took it into a dealer. This happened two more times over the course of the week of the car not starting, pulling the fuse, and it starting. Decided on a whim to pull the fuel pump fuse to see if it was bad, it wasn't, plugged it back in and the pump started working again (could now hear the pump coming on for a couple seconds after turning the key). The car would turn over, but the fuel pump would not turn on (you couldn't hear it running). Experiencing a strange issue with a 11 Malibu 4cyl.
